For research based jobs and phd: MS will have slight edge over Mtech.For job opportunities in Companies, M Tech will have slight edge over ME. There is a good chance that an MS guy goes for Phd than an M Tech. MS is almost as rigorous as Phd in India, however, M Tech / ME is oriented more towards industry.
